On the 20th of February 2009, I was awakened not by the alarm of my cell phone, at 3:00am in the morning. Anticipation and excitement are wheeling my eyes to open at that moment. Our flight schedule is 6:30am but we must arrive two hours early. We are flying to Cebu for the ICON SFC. We meet up at HBC C5 at past four in the morning.
And we headed to the airport by taxi cab at the NAIA terminal 3.Upon arrival we claim our ticket finding out I didn’t bring any valid ID. A big mistake on my part, several thought are already cajoling my mind that time What if the personnel won’t allow me to go without my valid ID? But the other part of my mind says “No matter what I will be on the plane.” And as smoothly as it is, the airline personnel just see our online ticket without looking for valid ID. And voila we are heading to the departure waiting area. As we are all seated, on the waiting area, we never ceased the moment to take pictures, as evidence of our first fly. But we heard a voice over saying our flight has been delayed for 1 hour I think. We don’t mind as long as it is never cancelled. Finally after hours of delay, we already see the daylight at the airport we set foot on the plane. Luckily I was positioned at the window side which means I’ll be able to see the view outside while we are flying. That make me excited, when the plane start to take off I feel myself relaxing. The elevation of the plane little by little upward is very smooth, that ease my fears away. And the view outside started to amaze me in a way I never imagined this would look on the top view of all the islands, clouds, houses who look like a miniature used by civil engineers in representing their proposed project. The magnificent view never fail to amaze me, all the Wow I can master are all speak of. It was all so lovely that you realize how insignificant we are compare the vast beauty around us. We are just molecules in a solid matter, or a pixel in a computer, a water vapor in seawater, that small we are yet so special to our Creator that he knows every detail of our existence, the number of our hair strands, and every move we make that’s how great our God is. Thanks for that realization during my first fly.
